Not salt tolerant of inundation by salty or brackish water.



Low/no tolerance of salty wind or direct salt spray

Considertions

It's dioecious; so make sure you have at least one male plant in the vicinity to produce berries on the females.

Fruits are eaten by birds.

Habitat

Wet-moist sites. Typically found in shallow wetland areas.
