Godfrey's Blazing-star

This is a narrow endemic found only in the southern parts of Wakulla and Franklin Counties.  It is listed as Endangered  by the State of Florida.



Wildflower meadows with other tall plants to add support.

Tolerant of occasional/brief inundation such as can occur in storm surges.



Some tolerance to salty wind but not direct salt spray.

Coastal scrubs and sandhills especially in the transition zone to coastal flatwoods.
