Plant in wet prairie setting, wet wildflower garden

Not salt tolerant of inundation by salty or brackish water.



Low/no tolerance of salty wind or direct salt spray

Foliage and seeds are food source for birds and mammals.

Open seep slopes, wet prairie, wet flatwoods at margins of seasonal ponds, wetland transition zones.

• Attracts insect pollinators, especially bees.
